ARTIST IN FOCUS: Meenakshi WadhwaMeenakshi Wadhwa is an Indian self-taught artist from New Delhi. She began painting from 2007 and by 2008 her art had reconfigured her world. In her own words, "Blank canvases urge my spontaneity to flow , reflecting the spirit in me and a beginning of a new creation .My paintings are a series of responses to the experiences of life and moments. Art for me is therapeutic and canvases speak the language of the unspoken in their silence to me." An influence of both realistic and contemporary is evident in her works and at present Wadhwa is a reputed artist whose work has been featured and exhibited in many exhibitions along with international artists. She has exhibited her paintings at the Nehru Art Gallery and Cymroza Art Gallery in Mumbai, India Habitat Centre New Delhi, Pearey Lal Gallery, Bahadur shah Zafar Marg, Delhi just to name a very few. Her recent most art exhibition "The Knock" was featured at India Habitat Center in summer of 2023. Painting and art are forms of meditation and liberation for Meenakshi through which she strives to present hope and a fusion of various elements coming together.
