UMBLE PIE:CHRISTPHER MULROONEY
why do you think they call it blank verse
says the drama critic
at the revivification
it's your son baked in my pie
says Inkwell new mine author
son of a confectioner in the upcountry
I cut your son up for a slice
of the great river through the town
where dim lights carry the thoroughfare
out of earshot from the king's barges
out of moonlight
and the strands of music
just heard
a little later on
